Covid and my small Business

Where to start? It is April 8, 2020. 

Here in Michigan we have been in lock down for almost a month. Adelaide’s last day of school, in a school classroom was March 11th. We had scheduled her for a surgery and she was already being excused from class the 12th. Little did we know March 13th our entire School district and the entire country would essentially come to a screeching halt. I actually should have photographed a wedding last weekend and I couldn’t because we are in a travel ban except for essential workers and emergencies.it I’m caught on the road without proof of emergency or being an essential worker I can get a ticket. More than that it I get caught working I can get fined up to $2000.

It’s heartbreaking we have no idea what is going to come next. I honestly thought this was going to last a week. I thought by now he would be back to normal. Now I wonder what normal will even look like Or when I’ll be able to go back to work. I mean I’m still working just focusing on my massive to do and goals list. It is definitely helping keep me focused on something but it is also not a normal sense of work. The weirdest part about all of this, is all of us just being home, all the time together. I keep thinking it feels like a very very long spring break.

I really hope we will get the chance to work again, but it sounds like what was considered a normal wedding a month ago is not going to exist for a while. I’m incredibly nervous that my couples are going to start canceling their wedding dates. That they’re going to move to new dates later in the year or even next year that I’m already booked for. I’m pretty terrified I’m about to lose so much money. I have some plans to hopefully help at least keep ends meeting until summer. I’m crossing my fingers.
